About the Medical Director
Dr. Manole is Board Certified in Occupational Medicine and serves as the head occupational medicine physician for many large local and national construction, engineering and manufacturing companies. He is uniquely trained in the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. His practice incorporates tertiary occupational medicine employing interventional pain management, when needed, to return his patients to pain-free living.

Employee Health
At Modern Pain & Spine we take a preventive approach to employee health. Our physicians are Board Certified in Preventive Medicine and aim to prevent work injuries by educating employees in healthy lifestyles. Impairment Rating
At Modern Pain & Spine our Occupational Medicine physicians are Board Certified to conduct impairment ratings per the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment 6th Edition Guidelines. They are trained to perform complex ratings involving multiple body parts and organ systems.
Independent Medical Evaluation
Modern Pain & Spine retains Independent Medical Examiners that are Board Certified Independent Medical Examiners. Our examiners have completed rigorous training independent medical examination. Our group’s large knowledge base which includes Medical Toxicology, ensures a comprehensive knowledge base for Independent Medical Evaluation.

-MRO Medical Review Officer Services
A Medical Review Officer (MRO) is a person who is a licensed physician and who is responsible for receiving and reviewing laboratory results generated by an employer's drug testing program and evaluating medical explanations for certain drug test results.
At Modern Pain & Spine our MRO certified physicians act as an independent and impartial "gatekeeper" and advocate for the accuracy and integrity of the drug testing process. We provide quality assurance review of the drug testing process for specimens. We determine if there is a legitimate medical explanation for laboratory confirmed positive, adulterated, substituted and invalid drug test results. It is our responsibility to ensure the timely flow of test result information to employers and to protect the confidentiality of the drug testing information.
